Ecosystem Toxication: Impact on Sustainability and the Environment

An ecosystem is a geographic area where humans, plants, animals, and other organisms, as well as weather and landscape work together to form a bubble of life.


Every factor in an ecosystem depends on every other factor, either directly or indirectly.


Causes of Ecosystem Toxication:

#1: High Air Pollution

High air pollution can be caused by vehicle emissions, fuels oils, and natural gas to heated homes, power generations, and fumes from chemical production. Other examples include house-hold combustion devices, and forest fires.


As well as, avoiding living next to an incinerator, oil refinery, port, toxic waste dump, or other polluting sites. In addition, nine out of ten human beings currently breathe air that exceeds the limits for pollutants, especially those with low and middle- class incomes. In the United States, people of color are 1.5 times more likely than whites to live in areas with poor air quality, according to the ALA (American Library Association) and NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council). Which is no surprise to the racist zoning policies and the discriminatory lending practices known as redlining.
